| As most of you know I've a 14 year old daughter,recently she placed first in the dublin regional competitions for first aid for the order of malta ambulance corps,by doing this she was able to enter the all ireland competitions representing her group the ballygall unit,these competitions took place yesterday in county limerick,I'm more than delighted to say megan placed first in senior girl category..needless to say I'm an extremely proud parent.....

| Congrats to your daughter! Now, what does all of that mean?  I've got kin in the EMS back where I grew up, so I'm familiar with emergency medical procedures, but this is the first I've heard of some sort of competition for it. | |

| Its an annual competition here,up to 300 cadets compete in different categories,such as footdrill,basic first aid and how to treat and deal with various different accident situations...its a pretty big deal for the cadets involved....:-) | |

First aid is pretty intense and requires such a range of different skills. Your daughter must be very impressive to excel in all of them! | |

| megan loves being part of the order of malta,she's made a lot of new friends over the last few years and she puts the effort in to keep up to date with everything herself,its something she truly loves an I love seeing how happy she is when she does well and not just with first aid but with everything she does... | |
