The formatting drove me insane. I think I killed a mouse.

I am writing this to inform the lay people of the internet to disregard any and all articles written with poor language, formatting, or poor ideas -especially by a supposed professionial with a PHd who cannot even space his or her words correctly. My reasoning is that a good informative article should be proofread and should not directly attack ideas and people out right.

I didn't finish the article (time constraints, my psych homework due in three hours is calling) but that was my initial perspective. Kinda a pet peeve of mine, non proofread and improperly formatted articles like that.

I actually got into an argument on another forum because I suggested that the financial crisis might have had multiple causes, and that some of them might not be that obvious. Clearly this makes me some kind of deviant Very Happy

As an evolutionary biologist, I have a lot of sympathy for this person. However, the trick is to present complex ideas in such a way that they are accessible without specialist training. The writer clearly has not mastered this trick!

It was insanely dull. I actually considered buying a dictionary for more interesting reading when I had completed reading this essay. I think the writer while a noted expert on economics doesn't understand in the least journalism and to wit blogging. These mediums are designed to address political policy in a way that the lay person will get a better understanding and not as a peer reviewed list of expert analysis. The general public is not in the habit of studying macro-economics and would not be the least bit interested in the intimate details. But we do like to have it explained in a way we can understand. From the tone of the work I have assumed the writer to be somewhat bitter for these "unwashed masses" to have an opinion about his chosen field. Here are a couple of links to responses to this essay you all may find interesting.
