| In the Site Suggestions thread, I suggested working on pre-writing and such. To those ends, I've been poking around online. I've found a few things I want to share with you guys. 1) American Writers suggests http://www.podbean.com/podcast-detail?pid=20176Essentially, exactly what it says on the tin--a bunch of suggestions for creative writing. Haven't poked through too many of the podcasts here, but what I've heard sounds at least interesting. 2.) Hatrack River http://www.hatrack.com/writingclass/index.shtmlThere's some advice by Orson Scott Card on writing at the link provided. I've read a bit of it, and it seems like good advice; that said, OSC did write Xenocide. 3) What Not To Do http://www.davidlouisedelman.com/writing/bad-writing-advice/Some examples of bad advice, and why it's bad. Interesting. Basically boils down to "You're writing a novel, not a movie". Anyone got any others? | |
