Grats Eldin! Sorry I didn't give you a run for your work, but I just could not get my idea to work on paper:

The Bunny is Out of the Closet - Hugh Hefner's confessions of fear, debauchery, and self-discovery that built an empire

Basically, the hypothetical was to be Hugh Hefner, man's man of Playboy magazine was truly a homosexual, but to hide it he built the Playboy franchise to give himself the most masculine retreat of all time. Yeah, neither time nor prose worked in my favor.

What else was there?

I think RS planned to make a little WBG magazine. Not sure if he was going to put in just the winners of the contests or all of them though

Actually, the idea is to self-publish an annual book.

I'll announce this month's contest in about 14 hours; I'm going to go with something a bit easier... a poetry contest. Since the first quarterly contest is due at the end of this month, I figured people would be more likely to participate in both if they were being bogged down by multiple stories.

I have just about finished my story for the quarterly contest so I hope to write a few poems for this months contest too.

I must say, I think the contests are a great idea and I can't wait to read everyone's contributions.

Ah, the contributions...

Ugh... I'm having issues with figuring out how to post them. However, I believe I will run a blog forum here and post them that way.

Thanks... But before I get all excited at my awesome writing skills, were there actually any other contestants?

Heh... no. I admit I was hoping the contests would be more of a hit. We only had one in May but we did have three in July. That's okay though... it was a very well-written piece that I thoroughly enjoyed (likely will be posting it and the other writings to Facebook since it seems to be the easiest method at the moment).

Don't get too discouraged yet. It can take awhile for contests like this to take off, and for people like me to finally get their asses in gear and submit something Very Happy

Will non-FB members be able to see them? Some of us are still trying to resist assimilation tongue

Most likely yes. That's assuming I do the FB thing.
