That's right... that's rainshadow's voice.

I'm expanding into the world of internet sound, deeper than any one man should ever go: playing with voice over... that little thing like voice acting that allows us to see amazing things like animation all the more amazing. You'll recognize most of the clips to follow (attributed in the spoiler box at the bottom of the post. I

Very nice rainshadow! That is not how I envisioned your voice at all. Well done!

Thanks. My favorite to toy around with was Blix.

No, that wasn't my real voice for the Legend goblin. I obviously edited it. Wink

I find that digitally altering my voice is great for hiding the bad actor in me.

LMAO!

Why would I take offense to that? I know that I have something of a reputation regarding what people may think of who I seem to be. Don't worry about offending me for stating something that I already know to be true. Wink

Thanks, Nicci.

I spent a ton of money on this mic; I plan to continue using it. I sent in an audition to do a fan audio drama for James Patterson's Maximum Ride. I was auditioning for the part of Ari. If you ever read that particular series, you know that Ari is a fun villain who chases Max and her flock around, all the while holding a bit of a grudge.

I was told my performance was not "wolfy" enough, whatever that means. I do think I got the emotion of the character spot-on; unfortunately I missed something the producer thought was important. He told me to try auditioning again. Maybe.

This particular file was on older version when I was practicing a few days before getting the mic, so the sound isn't exactly quality. I don't have the audition I sent in, unfortunately.

I didn't officially audition for the two other roles you will hear (Iggy and Jeb from the same series).

I actually toned down the rough edge to Ari's voice in my "official" audition, because the voice is sometime described as smooth.

You decided to post one of your auditions...sort of Dancing Banana At least enough so we get an idea of the characters you were playing.

I've never read that series but it sounds cool to me. I don't get what the "wolfy" thing means either. You did a great job IMO.

Thanks. That was my crappy mic too... LOL

I have the actual audition on my PC but I'm too lazy to upload it... LOL

Right now anyway.

Not really. I wasn't very clear there. I meant that I don't have the audition I sent in uploaded. I simply left out a key word. Wink
