Interesting. I haven't watched any of them myself. I just can't seem to get up the desire to watch boring torture porn and waste so much time in my life! LOL

I'd much rather watch some 80's horror or remakes of 80's horror. Slasher flicks FTW.

I'm not a big fan of scary movies, mostly due to the fact that they don't scare me. The first couple of Saw movies were decent enough. Then, they ran out of plot lines and decided that immense amounts of gore would be able to cover up a plot that was lacking in depth.

I'm obsessed with "scary" stuff that is based on true stories. I'll watch forensic shows where they solve murders all night and I get freaked out and convinced that someone is going to murder me. That just doesn't happen to me during scary movies. Sure, I'll jump a little when the music suddenly gets loud as a person jumps out from under the bed, but that is more like being startled than scared.

I'm pretty sure I stopped watching the series after Saw III. It was just so full of mindless violence and gore and it lacked the acting talent that the first two movies had.

How many of these movies are there out now anyway? I know that there's a lot because it seems like I"m always hearing about the newest one.

I really liked The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for some reason. It didn't really scare me, but I thought it was a quality movie. Plus, Jessica Biel was in it and she's great actress.

All that being said, I'd still rather watch an action film over a "scary" movie any day.

I like the series. A lot, actually. I haven't seen the 6th one yet, haven't had an opportunity.

I have seen up to Saw 4. I enjoy the series quite a bit. I just haven't gotten up the urge to see 5 or 6 yet.

It's not a scary movie Bethany, it's a gore movie. It's supposed to be clever and intelligent, or at least the main villain is, but what I've seen was ridiculously predictable and boring. In the end, to me, it was just glorified "torture porn" as Steve put it Wink

Ah, gotcha. I prefer my porn to be torture-free so I'd still rather watch an action movie.

Personally, I wouldn't watch these kinds of movies even if you paid me.

I'm with bethany on this one. up to three were the only ones worth giving the time of day. even though they had there torture moments and gory scenes, the plots were still intact and well thought out for the victims. four lost it, five was like WTF was the point, six didn't get the time of day since i was disappointed at five.

now that I think about it. I never saw previews for six I just heard it was out. *shrug*
