Groups.........?

What is the purpose of groups?

Groups allow the site to set permissions for specific forums. Say I want only certain people to see a forum. I have to group those people into the same category and then give that category permission to see that forum.

but when you click on groups it doesn't have a link to that forum. thats what confused me.

That link will show you what the groups are, but not necessarily what they have permissions to.

Group members know what forum they can go to, such as you know you have access to the Batman thread. The group you are in to be able to get there is the Shadow Over Gotham group.

I have my own group now that RS created for me, specifically posting anything new about my story. I don't have anything in it now because, simply put, I'm gone on vacation in Europe right now so I don't have any means of posting anything at all. I'm sure by now there are other groups that DO have some posts and threads.

I'm going to have to figure out how to do it once I get back

Hell, I didn't know you were leaving until less than a week before you left. Which should tell you where you rate because everyone else knew months in advance.

How does one get their own group? I'm kind of feeling left out here. T_T

Did you want your own Private Booth for something Naota? If so, then just PM one of the Admins or rainshadow (probably best).
