I'm not sure how many of you crochet/knit but I wanted to pass this on. This is a volunteer project that I've just started working on recently, making squares for. The idea is to knit/crochet 8x8 squares to send to Africa to be made into blankets for (AIDS) orphans. Their plight moved me especially; some of the kids don't even have proper clothes. So, if you knit/crochet or know someone who knits/crochets, give this a thought.

I may just pass this along to my neice. I'm not sure she does knit or crochet but it seems to me just the idea behind it is right up her alley. She'd want to learn, and all-in-all, it's not a bad skill to have. (Though not my cup of tea... LOL)

There's a few easy patterns on the homepage so she can teach herself. Or she can go ask around an old person's home and be swamped with little old ladies who want to help her lol. You know, I was thinking, if only people need more chainmail. The people here would have that covered lol
