PostSubject: The Sims 3   Thu Jun 18, 2009 1:16 pm

Has anyone else played this game? I absolutely love it! I was a fan of the first two games and really appreciate the improvements that have been made for this one. The biggest and most noticeable improvement is that you are now able to travel outside of your home. Your Sims can go visit friends at their homes, go grocery shopping, go to the gym, the bookstore, etc. It makes things a lot less claustrophobic since you're no longer staring at the same house the whole time you're playing. The only complaint I have about this is that you're not actually able to control your Sims while they're at work. You can travel with them to the outside of the building where they work, but are unable to go inside with them. It would be nice to be able to help them perform job tasks. Still, just being able to travel at all is a huge improvement. It doesn't hurt that you can now buy cars for your Sims to travel in either.

There's also more minor improvements that I've noticed. Not only are there more gadgets that you can purchase and use, there is now the option of purchasing a house that is already furnished, saving you a lot of time. The Sims no longer have to go to the bathroom constantly like they did in the previous two games. You can customize your Sims in many different ways now and make them look more life-like. The graphics have improved quite a bit. Here is an example of how realistic things look:

I've been addicted to this game since I bought it and am very pleased with it overall. Just thought I would share my little review with y'all!

Awesome review.

Almost awesome enough to get me to go buy the game.

Too bad I don't have money to spare for such things these days.

The biggest innovation between 2 and 3 is now your people's lives are no longer run by the need to pee every 5 seconds.

Hooray!

Of course I'm not dissing anyone else, not intentionally anyway.
